WEMADE (CEO: Kwan-ho Park) officially launched its MMORPG, MIR M: Mogwang Ssangyong (MIR M:暮光双龙), today (Jan. 13) in China. The game is now available on Android, iOS, and PC platforms in the Chinese market.

MIR M is a modern reimagining of the worldview and core gameplay that defined WEMADE’s flagship title, Legend of Mir 2, which achieved unprecedented success in China. The game faithfully carries forward iconic elements of the original, including signature items, eight-direction grid-based combat, and a quarter-view perspective, delivering a familiar yet refined MIR IP gameplay experience for Chinese players.

To better align with local preferences and market trends, WEMADE has fully restructured key systems such as combat mechanics, equipment progression, and UI/UX to meet the expectations of Chinese users.

Notably, MIR M introduces MIR Partners, a user-participation-based operating model. Selected partners can take part in a wide range of activities, including community engagement, game promotion, content creation, and new user acquisition. Participants receive incentives and exclusive benefits based on their level of contribution and performance. Popular Chinese game streamer Mozz has joined the program as an official partner.

In addition, WEMADE has appointed Yuen Woo-ping, a legendary figure in Chinese action cinema known for his work on films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The Grandmaster, as the game’s promotional model. A promotional video has also been released, showcasing MIR M’s action and martial arts–inspired worldview through Yuen Woo-ping’s artistic perspective.

Through MIR M, WEMADE aims to preserve the authenticity of the MIR IP while delivering a differentiated MMORPG experience optimized for the Chinese market.

Meanwhile, Legend of Mir 2 remains one of the most successful PC online games in China, having recorded over 500 million cumulative users, a 65% market share in 2004, and 800,000 concurrent users in 2005.
