WEMADE (CEO : Kwan-ho Park) is hosting the WEMIX OPEN 2025, a nationwide amateur tennis tournament to determine Korea’s top non-professional players.

Under the slogan “The Beginning of a Rally Toward a Better World”, the WEMIX OPEN was first launched last year and quickly established itself as one of Korea’s premier amateur tennis competitions, with 1,374 teams and over 2,500 participants. Players of all skill levels—from beginners to top-ranked amateurs—joined the tournament, which earned praise for its fair operations and meaningful contributions to social good.

This year’s WEMIX OPEN 2025 will feature a ‘Campus Cup’ for university tennis clubs as well as a ‘Club Match’ that allows amateur players to compete in a team format. The tournament is expected to draw around 300 teams and over 1,800 participants, with a total prize pool of KRW 50 million.

The event will begin in Seoul at MMOVE Tennis Yongma on July 12-13, followed by matches in Busan, Cheonan, and Incheon. Teams can register for the Seoul tournament from June 23 to July 11 via Wepublic, WEMADE’s blockchain-based transparency platform. To participate, users must create a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) community on Wepublic and gather their team members through the platform.

A series of Wepublic-related promotional events will also be held. Communities with 8 or more members will receive a box of tennis balls. Groups that host regular meetups via Wepublic will receive an activity grant of KRW 100,000. In addition, WEMADE will reward the most active community with an exclusive MT (Membership Training) package, which includes accommodations at a tennis pension and grocery gift cards.

Min-Jin Lee, Head of Wepublic Center at WEMADE, commented, “WEMIX OPEN was designed to create a social framework that grows alongside local communities through sports. A portion of the entry fees will be donated to sponsorship projects on Wepublic, contributing to a better and more inclusive society.” She added, “We hope to foster a positive culture where people enjoy sports and build healthy communities through Wepublic.”
