Asset Implemented in Collaboration with Global Blockchain Leaders Circle and Chainlink
Enabling Use of Ethereum-Issued USDC on the WEMIX3.0 Mainnet
WEMIX$ Module Service Launching This Week: Facilitating 1:1 Exchanges of WEMIX$ to USDC.e
The WEMIX Foundation is officially introducing the stablecoin "USDC.e" onto the WEMIX3.0 mainnet, opening the gates to a new era of stability. USDC.e is a stablecoin designed to facilitate the use of USDC, issued on the Ethereum network and backed by the U.S. dollar as legal tender, on the WEMIX3.0 mainnet.
Responding to the continued emergence of stablecoins as a global payment method and the rapid expansion of blockchain-based payment networks, WEMIX has established the foundational infrastructure required to utilize USDC, the world's second-largest stablecoin by market capitalization, on the WEMIX3.0 mainnet.
USDC.e was developed in collaboration with Circle, the issuer of USDC, and Chainlink, the cross-chain technology provider. It applies Circle's Bridged USDC standard and Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) technology. Furthermore, WEMIX has secured robust stability and unwavering reliability by implementing an officially verified contract developed in collaboration with Circle.
USDC.e operates on a Burn and Mint mechanism. When USDC is bridged to WEMIX3.0, the USDC on the Ethereum network is burned, and an equivalent amount of USDC.e is newly minted on the WEMIX3.0 mainnet.
The WEMIX$ Module Service, set to launch this week, will enable 1:1 exchanges of WEMIX$ to USDC.e. Users can exchange up to 10,000 WEMIX$ per day, with a maximum of 3 transactions. USDC.e can be converted to USDC for on-chain use or transferred to centralized exchanges. The WEMIX Foundation plans to continuously expand the utility of USDC.e going forward.
Shane Kim, CEO of WEMIX PTE. LTD., stated that "It is quite significant that the stablecoin, USDC.e, is being deployed on WEMIX3.0 through our collaboration with Circle and Chainlink, two global leaders in the blockchain industry." He added that "We will continue to expand the foundation of trustworthy stablecoins."
Detailed information on USDC.e and the WEMIX$ Module service can be found on the official WEMIX3.0 website.
