Inaugural World Champion server to face five top Korean clans in the ‘Legend Match’ for the final showdown
WEMADE announced that it will host the global esports tournament ‘YMIR Cup World Championship’ from February 28 to March 1. The tournament will be held at the Razer SEA HQ in Singapore, with global gaming lifestyle brand Razer participating as the official partner.
The ‘YMIR Cup World Championship’ marks the first global esports tournament featuring ‘Server War,’ a core content mode of Legend of YMIR. In Server War, teams compete to destroy the ‘Tower of Victory’ located at the center of the battlefield, claim the crown, and transport it to a designated destination to secure victory. If the crown is not delivered within the allotted match time, the winner is determined based on cumulative points earned through destroying the Tower of Victory, capturing boss bases, and engaging in PvP combat. Through this tournament, WEMADE aims to present the strategic depth and cooperative gameplay inherent in large-scale, class-based PvP esports to fans worldwide.
The tournament will begin with the World Championship semifinals on February 28, followed by the grand finals and the Legend Match on March 1. All matches will be broadcast live from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM via WEMADE’s official global YouTube channel, as well as Twitch, Facebook Gaming, and Bilibili. A variety of viewer engagement events, including special live broadcast coupons and a Legend Match winner prediction event, will also be offered.
In the semifinals, champion servers from the Asia, North America & Europe, and South America regional leagues will compete. Group A consists of the ‘xaou,’ ‘Kings,’ and ‘Ragnarok’ servers, while Group B includes the ‘ASIA038,’ ‘PROSGARD,’ and ‘TheOrigin’ servers. The top five elite clans representing each server will compete for server prestige, with the winning server from each group advancing to the grand finals.
The final World Champion server will face five Korean champion clans in the Legend Match. Representing Korea are the ‘Saekom’ clan from the ‘Bor’ server, and the ‘Neoguri Ban,’ ‘Horangi Ban,’ ‘Diesel,’ and ‘Byeolmuri’ clans from the ‘Bali’ server. This decisive match will determine the inaugural World Champion and the ultimate strongest competitor.
