• Wemade to establish WEMIX PLAY Center within DIFC Innovation Hub and collaborate to expand WEMIX ecosystem

• 100M USD global web3 game fund to be raised alongside WEMIX PLAY Center for WEMIX onboarding developers

• Aiming to apply for Dubai Financial Services Authority Crypto Token Recognition

Global game developer Wemade and DIFC Innovation Hub, today announced a partnership to build a WEMIX-centric web3 gaming community that will help boost Dubai's gaming ecosystem development and support the aims of the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033. Wemade is the first Korean game company to collaborate with DIFC Innovation Hub.

DIFC Innovation Hub aims to generate new economic value by fostering innovation, enterprise, and talent across various sectors, especially in future-oriented industries. Wemade is joining as the newest partner to benefit from the DIFC Innovation Hub's facility and programs among others.

The Wemade-DIFC Innovation Hub collaboration plans to focus on core initiatives, including establishing WEMIX PLAY Center within the DIFC Innovation Hub for WEMIX PLAY. With a primary aim to onboard game companies and the facilitation in raising US$100 million Web3 Gaming fund to support the developers, studios and entrepreneurs. As part of the collaboration which shall aim towards holding a renowned Web3 related event to further promote its efforts.

Dubai is a leading business hub with advanced financial services and policies for fostering economic growth, investor attraction, blockchain, and cryptocurrency. Aided by DIFC Innovation Hub, Wemade aims to maintain close communication with UAE crypto-regulating bodies for making the Middle East business strategy as per up-to-date trends.

Wemade is also working on an application for Crypto Token Recognition from the Dubai Financial Services Authority, the DIFC's Financial Regulator. Tokens conferred with this status will allow financial institutions in the DIFC to carry out transactions with them, to be used by over 4,900 companies in the special economic zone. Only 5 tokens, BTC, ETH, LTC, and more recently XRP and TON, have received this recognition since the DFSA introduced its comprehensive framework for regulating financial services using Crypto Tokens on 1 November 2022.
